SOP Editing FAQ

Grad School SOP & Essay Editing — Complete FAQ

If you’ve received your feedback and estimate, this page explains exactly how the editing process works — from booking to final delivery — so you can move forward with complete clarity.

Step 1 — Book & Pay

Secure your slot via the SOP Editing Service page. Payment is due upfront to reserve your turnaround window.

Step 2 — Editing

I complete your edits within the agreed turnaround, providing both tracked changes and clean comment versions.

Step 3 — Follow-Up

You review the edits and strategy notes. If you’d like a discussion, you can book a call using your purchased hours.

What happens after I agree to move forward?

Once you’re ready to proceed, you’ll book and pay through my SOP Editing Service page. As soon as payment is received, the turnaround clock starts. I’ll confirm your slot by email and get to work on your edits.

How do I book and pay?

All bookings are made through the SOP Editing Service page. Payment is due in full upfront. I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfer. All prices are in USD.

Which file formats do you accept?

I prefer Microsoft Word documents, but I also work with Google Docs. If you send a Google Doc, please make sure editing permissions are granted.

What will I receive when the edits are done?

You’ll get two files:
1) A version with tracked changes so you can see every edit.
2) A version with only comments and suggestions, for a cleaner read.

Can you review other documents besides my SOP?

Yes. Within SOP/essay editing hours, I can also review other application materials such as personal statements, research statements, or program-specific essays. Just send them with your SOP and specify your priorities.

How fast is the turnaround?

Standard: 3 business days per draft (clock starts after payment).
Priority: 1–2 business days for an additional fee. Priority is always available, but during peak admissions season I recommend checking availability first.

What if I need more than one round of feedback?

You can book additional rounds at any time. I offer 2-hour, 5-hour, and 10-hour packages for applicants who want to refine multiple drafts or work on several documents.

What if I don’t have a draft yet?

I offer a full SOP Package service for applicants starting from scratch. This includes a strategy session, a detailed outline based on your background and goals, and step-by-step guidance through each section of your essay until it’s complete. Learn more here.

Will you write my SOP for me?

No. Your statement needs to reflect your authentic voice and experiences. My role is to help you present them in the most compelling, competitive way possible — with strategic framing that resonates with admissions committees.

What if I have questions after you return my edits?

I’ll send you my strategic content notes by email. If you’d like to discuss them in detail, you’re welcome to schedule a call — time spent on the call will be counted toward your purchased editing hours.

Can I book close to a deadline?

If your deadline is less than 5 days away, please contact me first to confirm availability. Priority turnaround is often possible, but during peak admissions periods slots can fill quickly.

Do you offer refunds?

Because I reserve your editing slot and often begin work immediately, all bookings are final. If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate within the same admissions cycle.
